The Blue Duck - a rare, protected species found in remote regions of the Central North Island region. It is one of only four river-dwelling ducks in all the world. These ducks were photographed on the Whirinaki River








The stunning Lake Tekapo, located in the McKenzie Country in central South Island. The lake is fed by glaciers which contribute minerals giving the lake its unique colour that cameras cannot capture.




Four wheel drive vehicles are a good option in New Zealand where the roads away from the main highways can be rather rough. This road leads down to the Tekapo River and provides a wondrous drive down the river valley to Lake Benmore.
